Recommended Plans

Women receive complimentary hair styling with advance booking and advance payment (approximately 10 minutes); men are not eligible. One basic hair ornament is included free of charge and is separate from paid options. The group plan is for 3–19 guests, from ¥4,950 per person (tax included). Groups of 20 or more use a separate plan from ¥3,300 per person (tax included), with advance payment required. Prior approval by the shop is not required.

The rickshaw cannot be booked by itself. Please use it together with kimono rental from Kimono Rental & Tea Ceremony OSHARE ASAKUSA.

For Two or More Guests

One rickshaw seats up to two guests. For two guests, add the following option:

Groups of three or more can book online. The required number of rickshaws and the kimono fee for the second person in each rickshaw are calculated automatically.

Hours, Pickup and Drop-Off, and Same-Day Guidance
  • Pickup is in front of the Kimono Rental & Tea Ceremony OSHARE ASAKUSA shop. You may get off at a preferred location in the Asakusa area within your course time.
  • Rides can start from 9:00 to 19:30. The 120-minute course can also start at 19:30.
  • Please arrive at the shop 40 minutes before your rickshaw start time.
  • Submit your online booking at least 30 minutes before your scheduled arrival. Please arrive 40 minutes before your rickshaw ride. For the last ride at 19:30, arrive at 18:50 and submit your online booking by 18:20.
  • Availability depends on your requested time, kimono-dressing time, and rickshaw dispatch conditions.

The rickshaw staff will recommend a route after confirming your preferences and the conditions on the day.

Rain, Late Arrival, Service Suspension, and Cancellation
  • Operations in rain are decided according to the severity of the weather.
  • If service is suspended because of strong winds, heavy rain, snow, or similar conditions, you may choose a full refund, rescheduling, or a different plan.
  • If you arrive late, your ride may be shortened by the amount of the delay.
  • If you are delayed by about the length of your booked ride and the ride cannot operate, it is treated as a same-day cancellation with a 100% cancellation fee.
  • If a rickshaw cannot be arranged, we will offer another rickshaw, rescheduling, or a full refund.

  • Up to 5 days before your visit: Free
  • 4 days before your visit: 30%
  • 3 days before through the day before: 50%
  • Same day: 100%
  • No-show: 100%

Experience Flow

Follow the steps from booking through returning your kimono on the day.

    Book & Arrive

    Choose your date, time, and plan on your phone, then arrive 10 minutes before your booking. We will confirm your booking at reception.

  2. 2
    Choose Your Kimono & Get Dressed

    Choose your favorite color and pattern in about 10 minutes, then our staff will dress you in about 15 minutes. If you are unsure, you can ask for help in the shop.

  3. 3
    Hair Styling & Tea Ceremony (Eligible Guests)

    Women who complete advance booking and advance payment receive complimentary hair styling (approximately 10 minutes); men are not eligible. The tea ceremony takes approximately 30 minutes, or approximately 60 minutes including kimono dressing. Professional photography takes 30 minutes.

    Explore Asakusa & Return Your Kimono

    After exploring Asakusa or enjoying your photo session, return your kimono to the shop by the specified time.

Bank transfer fees are the customer’s responsibility. Groups of 20 or more use a separate group plan and require advance payment. Prior approval by the shop is not required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book on the same day?

You can apply online on the same day up to exactly 30 minutes before your scheduled arrival. Each plan’s opening hours and service dates still apply.

Can I leave my luggage?

We can store your luggage.
Please keep valuables with you.

What time do I need to return my kimono?

Regular: by 18:00. Night: by 22:00. Accepted next-day return: by 10:00 the next morning; add ¥6,600 per garment for regular plans, or ¥2,200 if Night is already charged (tax included).

Planned next-day return and late return without contact

When you contact us and next-day return is accepted, a regular plan adds ¥6,600 per garment (tax included): 18:00–22:00 extension, ¥1,100 × 4 hours = ¥4,400, plus ¥2,200 for next-day return. Return by 10:00 the next morning.

For the Night Plan, the add-ons total ¥4,400 per person/garment: ¥2,200 for Night plus ¥2,200 for next-day return (tax included). If Night is already charged, add only ¥2,200. Return by 10:00 the next morning.

Apply for an extension or next-day return by 17:00 that day. Staff approval is required; next-day return also requires advance payment. Apply by phone, LINE, WhatsApp or at the shop.

For a late return without contact, charge ¥1,100 per garment per hour (tax included) from 18:00 for regular plans or 22:00 for Night until the actual return. Any part of an hour counts as one hour.

Crossing midnight without contact does not add the ¥2,200 next-day fee. Do not count the same garment/time twice. The basic rental and any Night charge already selected remain payable.

The booking total includes only the planned charges you selected. Future late returns without contact are not estimated, and contact status is never inferred to charge automatically.
